CORPORATE PROFILE
Power and Energy Sector
The power sector in most of the developing nations, especially Africa, presents a fascinating array of challenges and opportunities. As the economy grows rapidly, the need for a reliable and quality power supply becomes critical as demand continues to grow faster than supply capacity build-up. This demand-supply gap has created a huge demand for power, necessitating an emergency situation. Greenland will vigorously invest in Power Generation, Transmission and Distribution Systems. We will deploy resources in the development of independent Power Generation Plants, hybrid power generation and distribution – as encapsulated for example under the Illuminate Nigeria Project
Agriculture
Agriculture remains a key sector of the African nations’ economy and will continue to play a vital role in driving Africa’s economic growth. With available vast arable and fertile lands, commitments are made towards revamping agriculture and situating it as a genuine contribution to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of host nations. Palm Oil Plantations, Aquaponic farms, fishing farming, Animal husbandry are identified endeavors which will effectively boost agricultural development in the medium-to-long term in Africa. Our agribusiness activities will support farmers at every step enhancing their productivity and prosperity with our products and services
oil and Gas
Greenland objective is to extract Crude Oil for local refining; this directly addresses the shortfall in the availability of refined Petroleum Products in nations with viable crude deposits but lacking in adequate refining capacity. The same guiding principle governs the Group’s interest in Petrochemicals, Natural Gas Development and Transmission and LNG Development.
Deploying requisite technical and funding capability in Oil and Gas Development is a key working strategy for the Greenland Group.
